Work anniversary gifts for employees

Something that fits the person, with a note from their manager. The note matters as much as the gift: name a piece of work, a habit or a moment from the year that the team would have missed without them.

For the gift itself, use what you know. You can also collect it on purpose: once a year, ask everyone for a few favorites, such as a treat, a hobby or a local business they love, and pick from that for their milestones.

Something more considered than a one-year gift, and a note that covers the whole stretch: what they built, who they trained, what changed because they were there. Many teams also mark the milestone in person.

Length-of-service awards have their own tax rules, covered in IRS Publication 15-B. We can't tell you how they apply to your company; ask your accountant.

Save each person's start date where you'll see it coming. In Gratos, each person has a page with their dates, one-time or yearly, and Gratos shows what's coming up.

Import a CSV of your people and add each start date in Gratos, or add people one by one. Gratos flags duplicates as it imports.

1. Ask for one person, or run a campaign for the people with an anniversary this month.
2. Choose the gift. Gratos suggests a gift from what's saved about each person, or you choose one.
3. Add a card. Gratos can draft a card message, and you can edit it.
4. Approve. For a campaign, you review the list and approve the campaign's total. Nothing is bought until someone approves the exact total.

Gratos places the order on the store's own website, and the store ships it to the person.
