Gratos pricing
No Gratos fee right now. We'll tell you before that changes. You pay the store's own price, tax and shipping, and Gratos does not mark it up.

How much does Gratos cost?
Nothing right now. We currently waive the service fee (Terms, §5).
When fees begin, Gratos will charge a service fee for each order it places for you. You can pay as you go, at $3.99 per order, or subscribe to a plan that includes a set number of orders each billing period. Before we start charging, we will tell you the fee and how it is billed. Your first order after fees begin is free.
Any fee is shown to you before you approve a gift. A fee never applies to a gift you approved before we told you about it.
What counts as an order?
An order is one store's cart. A gift with items from one store is one order. A gift with items from two stores is two orders, and on pay as you go it would carry two fees (Terms, §5).
Is there a subscription?
Not today. There is no subscription, membership or in-app purchase.
When fees begin, a plan will be one choice and pay as you go the other. Each plan's price, the orders it includes, its billing period and how to cancel it are shown before you subscribe. Fees will be billed through Stripe to the card you give it for fees. That card is separate from the card-network token that pays the store (Terms, §5).
Does Gratos mark up the gift?
No. The gift's price, plus whatever tax and shipping the store charges, goes from your card to the store. That amount is set by the store, and you see it before you approve. Gratos does not change the retailer's price, and does not add coupons, cash-back or reward offers (How Gratos buys).
How does Gratos make money?
Some retailers pay a commission to the partner that brought them an order. When Gratos places an order with such a retailer, it may receive that commission. It is paid by the retailer, not by you, and it does not change the price or any Gratos fee.
What a retailer pays us never affects which gifts we show you or the order we show them in (How Gratos buys). When fees begin, the service fee above is the other part.

Questions
- Do I pay for shipping?
You pay whatever shipping and tax the store charges, at the store's own rates. You see the exact total, shipping and tax included, before you approve.
- Will I be charged a fee without warning when fees start?
No. We will tell you the fee and how it is billed before we start charging, and any fee is shown before you approve a gift.
- Is the iPhone app free?
Yes. Gratos for iPhone has no subscription or in-app purchase, and there is no Gratos fee right now. We'll tell you before that changes.
- Does a commission change what Gratos shows me?
No. What a retailer pays us never affects which gifts we show you or the order we show them in.
